AeroCup 2025
The Competition
AeroCup is an international student aeronautical competition composed by three categories, Design Class, Manual Class and Automatic Class. In wich university teams design, build, and test a remote-controlled aircraft. The 2025 edition took place in Portugal, bringing together teams to complete mission-based challenges focused on engineering design, manufacturing, and flight performance
The Main Goal
In the 2025 AeroCup edition's Manual Class, in which we competed, required teams to design, build, and complete a series of flight demonstrations where the aircraft had to complete 100 m laps in the fastest and most efficient way.
The Team
The Final Product
For this AeroCup edition, the team worked very hard to achieve the best possible result. The final aircraft design features a wingspan of 1.83 meters with an average chord of 0.41 meters.
Using the best materials and manufacturing processes available, the final product showed great promise, and the team was proud of all the dedication and effort invested throughout the project.
The Results
In the end, UBIAT’s representation at Aerocup 2025 was exceptional. In a total of 400 points our team achieved 379, placing us in 1st place, surpasing other contestants by more than 150 points.
We are proud of these results, which reflect our hard work, dedication, and technical excellence throughout the competition.
